Assessment of hydrocarbon generation of kazan-tatarian deposits in the north of Pre-Ural Foredeep O. S. Kotik
DOI: 10.19110/2221-1381-2018-3-3-7
The article presents the estimation of possible hydrocarbon generation in Upper Permian Kazan-Tatar deposits in the north of Pre-Ural Foredeep on the basis of several parameters, such as content, type and catagenesis of organic matter. Zones of low, medium and high generation potential have been established. The characteristic of the phase composition of hydrocarbons is given, and the most promising areas of their possible generation are identified. The best conditions were established in the Korotaikha basin.
Keywords: Upper Permian coal-bearing deposits, composition of organic matter, catagenesis, generation potential.

Pre-Paleozoic sandstones of the Polar Urals N. Yu. Nikulova
DOI: 10.19110/2221-1381-2018-3-17-25
We studied and compared the chemical characteristics of Pre-Paleozoic sandstones of the Ochenyrd and Enganepe ridges. The similarity of characteristics of sandstones from Upper Riphean Ochetyvisskaya Formation and from the basal part of Upper Vendian-Lower Cambrian Enganepe Formation allows considering these deposits as facies analogues. In the composition of sandstones of Enganepe Formation we traced a gradual increase of recycled material from metaterrigeneous rocks altered in the weathering crust. We found differences in the conditions and sources of detrital material, which affected the formation of sandstone composition of the basal and upper parts of the section of Enganepe Formation.
Keywords: sandstone, chemical composition, detrital material, source areas, area of formation, sedimentation conditions.

The peculiarities of structural-phase state research of impact glasses from the Kara astrobleme S. I. Isaenko, B. A. Makeev, T. G. Shumilova
DOI: 10.19110/2221-1381-2018-3-26-31
Researches of the structure-phase state of weakly ordered substances are significantly hampered by the absence of long-range order in their structure. Methods of X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy to study samples of impact glasses of the Kara astroblem were used. The amorphous nature of the studied samples of impactites from vein-like bodies established by X-ray diffraction was confirmed by Raman spectroscopy. The developed powder diffraction technique allows to study an amorphous substance and can be used in the study of impact glasses and other weakly ordered substances.
Keywords: impact glasses, Kara astroblem, X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy.

Porosity and sorption properties of zeolites synthesized from coal fly ash D. A. Shushkov, I. I. Shuktomova, N. G. Rachkova, M. Harja
DOI: 10.19110/2221-1381-2018-3-32-37
Coal fly ash generated from the combustion of coal to produce energy and heat is an industrial waste, which huge accumulations represent a serious environmental threat. Development of technologies for its utilization is an actual problem. In the context of possible environmental and economic risks, the use of sorbents based on coal fly ash for wastewater treatment is an alternative to industrial materials. The article presents the results of experimental studies of zeolites obtained by a hydrothermal autoclave method from coal fly ash of from a thermal power station (the town of Vorkuta). The initial coal fly ash and synthesized materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffractometry, etc. The specific surface area, the volume of micro- and mesopores, the total pore volume of synthesized zeolites were determined. Experimental results have shown that new materials can be successfully used to extract ammonium, barium, strontium and natural radioactive elements: uranium, radium, thorium from aqueous solutions.
Keywords: zeolites, sorption, coal fly ash, radionuclides, ammonium, barium, strontium.
